Building PEST Control Services at Hellinikon.
PEST CONTROL
Pest control is carried out mainly where it is considered safe by external perimeter spraying of the areas we want to protect, focusing mainly on the areas where insect populations tend to reproduce. The spraying is carried out with original, odorless formulations with immediate and residual action. Additionally, due to the modern technology of their preparation, they have such a composition that they do not stain the surfaces they come into contact with.
Furthermore, specifically for cockroach control, ready-to-use gel baits are used in places where any liquid pest control agent cannot reach, such as cabling in the lower part of floors, the back of machines, etc. Additionally, special detection traps with adhesive surfaces are placed.
RODENT CONTROL
Rodent control is carried out mainly by creating external rodent control zones in the areas we want to intervene. For this purpose, where permitted and safe, bait stations are used in which the rodenticide bait is permanently placed. In this way, the attractiveness of the bait is maintained for a long period and consumption by animals outside the control spectrum is avoided. Additionally, within the framework of prevention from consumption of baits, we detect the existence of the population.
For the control and detection of rodents, initially the already existing bait stations will be included. At each application, an inspection of the bait stations, restoration of rodenticides and their change will be carried out, if required. In any case, baits with different active substances will be used periodically in order to limit the phenomenon of population resistance.
The rodent control application certificate is accompanied by a detailed statement of the description of the consumption of the baits of the corresponding numbered bait stations.
For the best possible results, the following are necessary:
• Placement of stops at the lower parts of doors that communicate with external areas.
• Sealing with silicone or polyurethane or cement any open points that communicate with the external area.
• Careful inspection of incoming packaging materials.
• Your garbage cans that dispose of food must have a lid to close immediately and be rinsed at regular intervals.
MOSQUITO CONTROL
For mosquito control, spraying of the surfaces they frequent (green areas, external surfaces) is carried out with approved adulticide formulations from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and with larvicides in stagnant water. These actions can lead to a significant reduction in the population of these flying insects.
It is important to know that the best possible results (reduction close to 60-80% of the population) we usually have in the first fifteen days after spraying and frequent repetitions are required. In case stagnant water appears somewhere in the space after application and is not removed, the quality of the application results is automatically downgraded.
It is important, regardless of mosquito control with chemical means, to follow individual protective and preventive measures to prevent their reproduction according to the relevant guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO).
